Welcome!
Our neighborhood is on the Near East side of Columbus, Ohio. Woodland Park extends from Maryland Avenue to the north, the Norfolk & Western Railroad tracks to the east, Broad Street to the south, and Taylor Avenue to the west.
We are home to East High School, Park Tower Apartments, the YMCA Eldon & Elsie Ward location, Mansion Day School, and the Healthy Community Center.

Yes. WPNA charges dues to residents. During our May meeting, residents voted to adopt the following fees:
Individual $10
Seniors +65 $5
Household $20
Paying dues allows members to vote on community meetings and helps fund any expenses like the summer and holiday events. Household members get one vote while individuals get one vote each.
Please note that these fees are the minimum, and that if you are so inclined, you can pay more.

Columbus Metropolitan Library has their Martin Luther King Branch in the corner of Taylor Ave and Long St. Other branches can be located followin this link: CML's library locations
Bronzeville Growers Market works diligently in educating people on food access and gardening. They are involved with several community gardens around the Near East and hold a farmers market. Their website can be found here: Bronzeville Growers Market

We are always looking for more people to join WPNA. We all volunteer our time and skills and are happy to welcome new officers. You can become an officer by coming to one of our community meetings and letting the group know your intent and what title you want to pursue. The community then votes and moves to approve your nomination/selection.

Yes!
If you don’t want to volunteer as an officer, there is always opportunity to volunteer at our meetings and events. Depending on what you would like to help with and feel comfortable doing, we are happy to have as many hands on deck as possible.
Volunteering activities may include distributing flyers through the neighborhood, posting on social media, picking up printed materials, taking pictures at events, and other tasks. Also, if you have any ideas of things you would like to see happen in the neighborhood, please feel free to reach out.
